COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The Industrial Networking for Pipeline Control Systems course is designed to teach the student SCADA systems communicate with remote equipment and other host level computing platforms.  The course includes basic information on serial communications and standard network protocols.

COURSE PREREQUISITES:

The student needs a good understanding of SCADA systems as well as a basic understanding of network switches and routers.

COURSE EXAM:

Students will be tested before and after taking the course.  All results will be published in a report and available from the NFT ONLINE Training website. 


Introduction to Communication Networks

The Introduction to Communication Networks course is designed to teach the student basic data communication interface technologies to allow intelligent computer platforms to pass data.  The course includes basic information on serial communications and standard network protocols.
