COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The PLC Programming Basics course is designed to teach the student how to read and write software for simple controller applications.  The course does extend into program design with an emphasis on standard formats to ensure consistent software development rules are followed.

COURSE PREREQUISITES:

The student needs to have an entry-level understanding of PLC’s.

STUDENT MATERIALS:

Students will receive electronic training manuals, downloadable from the NFT ONLINE Training website.  The student will be responsible for printing and binding before the course start date.

COURSE EXAM:

Students will be tested before and after taking the course.  All results will be published in a report and available from the NFT ONLINE Training website. 


Advanced PLC Programming:

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The Advanced PLC Programming course is designed to teach the student how to improve software programming efficiencies through advanced programming techniques.  The course explores the various advantages and disadvantages to each of the language types.

Engine Fundamentals and Compressor Control

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The Engine Fundamentals and Compressor Control course is designed to provide the student with an introductory understanding of how engines and compressors work mechanically and are controlled through PLC programs.  

The course provides information on typical operation and demonstrates methods to optimize operation of this equipment.

The SCADA System Definition and Design course provides the student with general guidelines regarding simple to complex SCADA system monitoring and control.  The course will cover all facets of hardware, software and operational functions of a SCADA system.
